2015 Government Law & Liability Conference
December 8, 2015

You are invited to attend the 2015 Government Law & Liability Conference sponsored by the Office of the Attorney General.  This conference is designed for board members, general counsels and executive directors of state agencies.  If you are a newly appointed state agency board member, this conference will provide you with the board member training possibly required by your agency.

2015 Open Government Conference
December 8-10, 2015

The Office of the Attorney General invites you to the 2015 Open Government Conference. This conference is designed for the general public, government employees and public officials, representatives of the media and companies doing business with Texas government.

Please note Sections 551.005 and 552.012 of the Texas Government Code require public officials to complete specific training on the Open Meetings and Public Information Acts. These trainings must be approved by the Office of the Attorney General. Sessions will be offered at the 2015 Open Government Conference to provide public officials with the opportunity to fulfill this mandatory training requirement. Registration Fee Per Person: $175 per person for conference on December 9-10th.  Additional $65 per person for the optional Boot Camp on December 8th.

2016 Crime Victim Services Conference

The Office of the Attorney General's Crime Victim Services Division will be hosting its Crime Victim Services Conference, February 22-24, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The conference will be designed for victim advocates, liaisons, victim assistance coordinators, victim service providers and law enforcement. Online registration will open by October 1, 2015.

This conference is being held at the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel. You may start making hotel reservations on October 1, 2015, as well.


Need A Speaker?

  • The Attorney General's office may be able to provide a speaker for your organization on topics such as Child Support Enforcement, Identity Theft or Crime Victims' issues.
  • In addition, training is available on topics such as the Crime Victims' Compensation Program, Acknowledgment of Paternity, Juvenile Crime, the Public Information Act and other issues.
  • Availability will vary depending on location, staff schedules and expense involved.
