The Most Wanted Child Support Evaders

The Most Wanted Child Support Evaders By Greg Abbott Attorney General of Texas Recently I announced my new Top 10 List of Most Wanted Child Support Evaders. Delinquent parents on the Top 10 List have repeatedly failed to pay child support and have gone underground to avoid arrest. The parents from the most recent list owe over $500,000 in past due child support and I am asking the public to call 1-866-EVADERS (382-3377) to report any information that may lead to the arrests of: Timothy Andrus, who owes $144,040 for two children in Midlothian; Brad Henderson, who owes $85,198 for three children in Beeville; Max Mata, who owes $81,747 for one child in Odem; Francisco Balderrama, who owes $44,329 for four children in El Paso; Curtis Dutton, who owes $40,599 for one child in Denton; Charles Silva, who owes $39,320 for two children in Carrollton; Harry Bomnskie, who owes $35,556 for one child in Burnet; John Lowry, who owes $30,899 for three children in San Antonio; Kurt Lindner, who owes $27,109 for one child in Abilene; and Jeffrey Waisath, who owes $25,171 for two children in Nederland. During my time as Attorney General, I have had the privilege of meeting with parents to whom the Evaders owe support. I admire the good job these parents are doing to raise their children without assistance from the other parent. However, I know that life is much easier for children when both the mother and father participate in their upbringing. Regular child support can make a big difference in the life of a child. That is why it is so crucial that the public contact my office with any information that could lead to the location and arrest of these Child Support Evaders. It is only right that they be held accountable for breaking the law and violating a sacred trust that should be every child's birthright. Please visit the Attorney General's main website at www.oag.state.tx.us to view photos and specific information about individual Evaders. For a parent to be named a Most Wanted Child Support Evader, court-ordered delinquent support must be in excess of $5,000 and a civil or criminal arrest warrant must have been issued. The location of the parent is unknown and the parent has not made any payments in the last six months. In addition, the parent must not be involved in bankruptcy proceedings or receiving welfare benefits. To make information public, the parent who has custody of the children must sign a confidentiality waiver. The Attorney General's office works with local law enforcement to arrest and incarcerate parents who are delinquent in their child support payments. The Child Support Evaders on the Top Ten List are being singled out because they have the ability to take responsibility for their children but refuse to do so. Incarceration is the only option for parents who flagrantly ignore a court's order to pay child support. Since I took office, 62 Evaders have been arrested or located. With your help, we can increase this number and collect the child support that is due to Texas children. Please contact my office with any tips or information you have that may lead to the arrests of the Most Wanted Child Support Evaders.
