Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton today announced the Attorney General’s Child Exploitation Unit (CEU) successfully executed a search warrant resulting in the arrest of Jarrett Ray Dwayne Palitza, 22, of Adkins on six counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
The CEU received a request for assistance from the Sealy Police Department involving a case of sexual assault of a 10-year-old female and potential possession and distribution of child pornography. On May 26, CEU investigators executed a search warrant at Palitza’s residence in Adkins, resulting in the discovery of child pornography, including an image of the previously identified 10-year-old female child, stored on Palitza’s smartphone.
“One more dangerous individual is off the streets and behind bars thanks to the efforts of the Child Exploitation Unit and the Sealy Police Department,” Attorney General Paxton said. “My office will remain steadfast in protecting our children and our communities from the heinous acts of these child predators and continue seeking justice against them.”
The Texas Attorney General’s Office works to protect children by taking child predators off the Internet and putting them into jail. This agency arrests predators who commit crimes against children using technology and the Internet. The office utilizes the latest technology to track down some of the most profoundly evil predators on the Internet.
Attorney General Paxton urges all parents and teachers to realize the risks our children face online, and take steps to help ensure their children’s safety.
