CORNYN ANNOUNCES PRESS RELEASES AND
NOTIFICATION OF OPINIONS AVAILABLE
BY AUTOMATIC E-MAIL

Press releases and notification of opinions will be sent directly to your e-mail account

AUSTIN - Texas Attorney General John Cornyn today announced that press releases and notification of Attorney General opinions are available via automatic e-mail. This is part of Attorney General John Cornyn's continuing effort to make the agency's services more user-friendly and technologically efficient.

Members of the media will have to register for automatic e-mail of press releases and notification of Attorney General opinions separately.

To register for the EPPRESSLIST, log onto www.oag.state.tx.us. Click on the "News and Publications" navigational bar on your lefthand side of the page. Then click on the "Press Releases" button. In the middle of the next page, you will see EPRESSLIST. Click on that and give our webmaster your full name, media outlet, e-mail address, and phone number. This is the official mailing list for members of the media to receive the Texas Attorney General's press releases automatically in their e-mail. You can read, print, process, or delete it as you would any other e-mail.

To obtain notification of newly-issued Attorney General opinions, simply follow the same process through the "Opinions" navigational bar on the lefthand side of the Attorney General's web page. In the middle of the page, you will see "Notification of Opinions subscription list". Click on that and give our webmaster your full name, e-mail address, and phone number. This is the official mailing list for anyone to receive an e-mail notification of newly issued Texas Attorney General Opinions. In this notification you will see a hypertext link to the actual opinion, as well as a summary of the opinion.

If reporters wish to receive press releases in Spanish, they should state that in their email to the webmaster. Other inquiries or requests for both lists can be sent to webmaster@texasattorneygeneral.gov.
