Bennie Fuelberg Sentenced After Being Convicted of Three Felony Charges

Late Monday, a jury of his peers recommended that former Pedernales Electric Cooperative President Bennie Fuelberg receive a ten-year probated sentenceleaving open the possibility for the judge to impose some jail timeand be required to repay funds that he illegally diverted from co-op members. The jury’s verdict in the sentencing phase follows its determination last week that Fuelberg was guilty of both misapplication of fiduciary property, money laundering and theft. We are grateful to the jurors for their dedicated service and hard work on this very important case. Formal sentencing for Fuelberg will be at a later date.
