Ms. Pavala Hall
Assistant City Attorney
Criminal Law and Police Division
City of Dallas
Municipal Building
Dallas, Texas 75201

OR99-0029

Dear Ms. Hall:

You have asked whether certain information is subject to required public disclosure under chapter 552 of the Government Code. Your request was assigned ID# 121117.

The City of Dallas received a request for all crime data for a particular address during the past year. You submitted to this office for review 911 call sheets. Because the only information that you indicate is actually at issue are the 911 call sheets, we assume that any other responsive information concerning crimes at this address has already been released to the requestor. Thus, this ruling addresses only the 911 call sheets. We believe that a prior ruling, Open Records Letter No. 98-2551 (1998) answers your questions concerning originating telephone numbers and addresses on 911 call reports. You may rely upon ORL 98-2551 (enclosed) as a previous determination on this issue under section 552.301 of the Government Code and thus need not ask this office again for a decision concerning these types of records.

If you have questions about this ruling, please contact our office.

Yours very truly,

Ruth H. Soucy
Assistant Attorney General
Open Records Division
