The Office of the Attorney General is required by law to operate the Evader program. This program requires that parents who are avoiding their court-ordered obligation to pay child support, have their photograph and profile displayed on the OAG website. The purpose of this program is to seek tips from the public to help locate these parents.

In order to qualify for the Evader program the following conditions must be met:

  • Court-ordered delinquent support must be in excess of $5,000,
  • an arrest warrant must have been issued,
  • the noncustodial parent is avoiding arrest,
  • the noncustodial parent must not have paid regularly in the last six months,
  • the noncustodial parent must not be involved in bankruptcy proceedings or receiving welfare benefits,
  • the custodial parent must sign a confidentiality waiver allowing certain case information to be made public, and
  • a photograph must be available.

If you have tips that can help us locate these parents, please call us at 866-EVADERS (382-3377).
