My Sticker Calendar Artwork

Due March 31, 2017

Calling all artists 12 and younger! Submit your artwork for the 2018 calendar by March 31. In 2006, the Child Support Division’s Shared Parenting program created a calendar for children who spend time across households. To date, more than 500,000 calendars have been distributed. The calendar can give children a sense of control and order while helping parents align their busy schedules.

Artwork can be submitted by anyone 12 and younger whether your relatives work for the OAG or not. Submit as many entries as you’d like.

Parents: Print out the template for your children to use. (If you can’t print the template, use an 8”x8” piece of paper.)

Do:

  • Draw something you like to do with your dad or mom.
  • Use watercolors, color pencils, crayons, markers, chalk, pencil or ink.
  • Dream about something you’d like to do with a parent or a friend — and draw it!
  • Draw something that has never been in the My Sticker Calendar before.
  • Use the entire 8” x 8” space.
  • Use lots of color so your picture will stand out.

Do Not:

  • Use colored paper
  • Use metallic paint
  • Write any words on your drawing
  • Trace artwork, send pictures or copy drawings
  • Write the name of the month or the season on your drawing
  • Use printed sticker, stick-on items or glitter
  • Layer paper
  • Use commercial images such as cartoon or comic book characters
  • Fold or crease the paper
  • Sign your artwork
  • Copy art from old calendars

Calendar month ideas: back-to-school; vacation; Thanksgiving; winter; spring

Sticker ideas: Stickers look great when there’s only one thing in the picture. What picture pops into your mind for:

zoo (giraffe or elephant or other animal),

park (swing set or kids on a teeter-totter),

doctor (thermometer)

dentist appointment (aching tooth);

sports practice (ball or ball and bat or soccer ball),

Labor Day (hammer or traffic cones or construction worker)?

Send them in any time, but before March 31! Mail no later than March 24 to make sure your art arrives on time.
